It lets us hang on to every tiny part of the year as possible. But Fernando Alonso has been reaching out to fans for the past month to vote for him in a very different kind of awards race… and he won! His new title was recognised at the 2023 Spanish TikTok Awards, which held its annual gala last Friday at La Estación Gran Teatro Caixabank Principe Pío in Madrid. However, the awards ceremony was broadcast last night on a delayed basis through the social platform. He competed for the title against the tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, the pastry chef Jordi Roca, the influencer Laura Escanes, the fashion stylist Juan Avellaneda and the soccer player Maitane López – but it was Alonso who managed to get the most votes from TikTok users. It comes as no surprise, he’s really taken TikTok by storm this season. If it’s not part of your daily routine to check if he’s posted on his page, you must! ???? The Aston Martin driver only joined in February this year and has since gained 1.5 million followers. There is just one single video out of the 36 videos he has done with just under a million views.
